Hi there People,
I just acquired an HP ExpressCard EC300 DVB-T TV Tuner which came with my HP Pavilion entertainment laptop and i was just wandering how it'll run on my IBM T43 thinkpad.
I inserted the TV Card right into the express card slot(I didn't know my T43 had one Cool !!) and installed the drivers.
Then i ran Windows media Centre, went through a few menus to configure the card and then scanned for TV channels.
I picked up 82 Channels and the reception was perfect. My experience with Small / USB stick sized TV tuners haven't been very good in the past. The situation has always been that i got some channels and didn't others. Those i did get weren't as clear as they should be.
The HP ExpressCard EC300 DVB-T TV Tuner blew me away as it worked perfectly. I wasn't expecting such a
small card to work as well as it does.
Brief Laptop Specs
- ThinkPad T43 2668-CTO
- Pentium Mobile 2.0GHZ
- 2GB RAM
- ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 128MB VIDEO RAM
- WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTRE EDITION
I just thought I'd share this with you guys.
I have a HP TX1000 with the same card. Unfortunately, since this pc is running om W7 the card is not working ny more. I get a blue screen when searching for channels in the meia centre
